MVKN20 Energy Utilization (7,5 credits)
Examiner: Associate Professor Per-Olof Kallioniemi and Assistant Professor Kerstin Sernhed

Energy utilization in different sectors of the community. Energy-load relations. Substitution possibilities. Coincidence. Price sensitivity of energy utilization. Forecast methods. Practical analyses of energy utilisation and energy demand.

MVKN15 Energy Supply Systems (7,5 credits)
Examiner: Assistant Professor Kerstin Sernhed and Associate Professor Per-Olof Kallioniemi 

Energy supply systems at local and central level of the community. Technical and economical limits. The infrastructure and environmental effects of energy supply systems. Development and history. Practical energy supply planning on local and central level.

MVKN30 Advanced Efficient Energy Systems (7.5 credits)

Subject and field are different every year. The purpose is to give the student experience of working in a project and present the result in a report. Every report is presented and reviewed during final seminars.

Energy markets structure, regulations and functions for electricity, heating and fuels, related to the energy balance and development of energy demand.

MVKF01 Energy and the Environment in Sustainable Development (6 credits)
Examiner:
Associate Professor Marcus Thern

The course aims at a broad understanding of the structure and function of energy systems - in technical as well as economic respects. The course is intended to offer insight into the environmental effects of energy systems as well as the technical possibilities to improve energy systems from an overall environmental perspective and society´s strive for sustainable solutions. Perspectives range from the environment of each individual to global environmental and security perspectives.

MVK920 Degree Project - Master's Thesis (30 credits)

We offer the possiblity of doing the Master's Thesis in any of the division's research fields:
Efficient Energy Systems, Load Management, District Heating, District Cooling and Energy Planning.
